Our Services

Fabric8 Slipcovers creates thoughtfully tailored soft furnishings designed to refresh well-made furniture while maintaining a relaxed, livable elegance.

Each project is approached with care, from initial measurements through final installation.

Custom Slipcovers

Slipcovers are designed to refresh well-made furniture – not conceal it. Each cover is patterned specifically for the piece beneath it, with attention to proportion, fabric behavior, seam placement, and the way the furniture is used.

The result is a washable, removeable cover that feels tailored and comfortable while preserving the character of the original furniture.

Details may include precision fit, thoughtful seam placement, pattern matching, cording or topstitching, and skirt styles ranging from relaxed to tailored.

Dining Chair Slipcovers

Dining chair slipcovers offer a practical and refined solution for frequently used seating. They are especially well suited for homes that entertain often or prefer washable upholstery.

Multiple chairs can be completed as one cohesive project, creating a finished look for the dining space while protecting the furniture beneath.

Cushion Refresh

Seat cushions naturally soften and lose shape over time. Replacing or rebuilding cushion inserts can significantly improve both comfort and appearance.

This service pairs especially well with new slipcovers, allowing the entire piece to feel refreshed, supportive, and renewed.

Best for sagging seat cushions, softened back cushions, bench cushion, and pieces that still have good frames but need better support.

Custom Pillows & Cushion Covers

Custom pillows are a simple way to complete a seating area, bedroom, or layered textile plan.

They can be made using coordinating fabrics, contrast details, or remnants from a slipcover project for a cohesive, finished look.

Draperies & Window Treatments

Custom window treatments frame the room, soften the architecture, and bring balance to the space.

Each treatment is planned with attention to scale, fullness, mounting style, stack-back, break length, and fabric behavior.

Options may include drapery panels, cornice boards, Roman shades, board-mounted styles, structured valances, and custom fabric details.

Custom Bedding & Layered Textiles

Custom bedding adds softness, structure, and finish to the bedroom.

From tailored coverlets to layered pillows, bed skirts, and textile details, each piece is scaled to the bed, the room, and the way the space is used.

The result is a polished, comfortable room that feels complete without looking overdone.

Slipcover Refresh

Slipcovered furniture is designed to be maintained over time. Fabric8 offers a Slipcover Refresh service for existing Fabric8 Slipcovers, including removal, inspection, laundering, repairs as needed, and reinstallation.

This is especially helpful for clients who prefer assistance with handling and reinstalling their slipcovers, or who want small issues corrected before they become larger problems. It also provides an opportunity to revisit the fit and function of a previous Fabric8 slipcover after it has been lived with over time.

The Fabric8 Method

Each project begins with careful documentation using photographs, measurements, and custom templates. This allows each slipcover or soft furnishing to be planned specifically for the piece while minimizing disruption to the home.

When appropriate, fabrics are pre-shrunk before cutting and construction. Project templates and measurements are archived for future use, updates, or replacement covers.

Project Inquiries

Clients are welcome to send photos of their furniture or room to discuss whether a piece is a good candidate for custom slipcovers or soft furnishings.

Clear photos are often the easiest first step. They allow Fabric8 to review the shape, condition, cushion style, and overall project scope before an in-home consultation is scheduled.
